The #Jumping4Petals initiative (www.jumping4petals.co.za), a nationwide virtual rebounding event (rebounding = jumping on trampolines), is taking place in your area, and [STUDIO NAME] aims to raise funds to purchase sanitary pads for women in safe shelters and young girls to stay in school.
We have over 25 studios enrolled and estimate that 300+ jumpers will attend from various locations (multiple provinces) across South Africa, including Akasia, Alberton, Bedfordview, Benoni, Brakpan, Bultfontein, Centurion, Dalview, Fairland, Kempton Park, Lambton, Parkrand, Randpark, Sasolburg, and Sinoville (and counting).
We are currently seeking sponsoring partners, either localized or on a national level. Alternatively, we would greatly appreciate your assistance in making this day and event a highlight on the community calendar by providing us with a main prize for our lucky draw, such as a breakfast voucher for two at your establishment or a one-night mid-week breakaway for the best jumper, which we can use as a reward.
Sponsors can contribute to the initiative by providing items to be included in the goodie bags for participants, such as vouchers, products, or services. They can also sponsor prizes for the lucky draw, which will boost the morale of the jumpers and provide an opportunity for brand exposure.
We plan to invite media to attend the day, so there are great photo marketing placements if you have banners/branding!
The Jumping4Petals initiative and the studios hosting the event would love to have a representative to come and enjoy some part of this festive day with just over 30 days left before we jump 10KM – you could even enter your own relay team… or maybe next year 🙂
Only with your help can we increase not only the awareness of the project but also gather greater community involvement.
Since its inception in 2021, the initiative has grown significantly, with 30 jumpers in 1 studio collecting 780 packs of sanitary pads (26 per jumper).
In 2022, with 40 jumpers (ten more) still in 1 studio and a bigger venue, the initiative and “Back-a-Jumper” managed to collect over 2,300 packs (57.5 packs per jumper).
In 2023, the initiative has expanded to 25 studios and over 300+ jumpers so far, and we are still counting.
In 2024, we plan to have our own custom race packs, #Jumping4Petals” + Jumping Goodie Bags + “National Sponsors.”
